Overview
In India, critical education choices begin early β students select academic streams soon after Class 10 and commit to degree pathways by the end of school, often influenced by peer pressure or perception rather than clarity. The consequences surface later with mismatched careers, financial strain, and course corrections that cost years. Even as the National Education Policy 2020 pushes for stronger career guidance, structured counselling remains underutilised. According to the World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2023, 83 million jobs are expected to be eliminated globally by 2027, while 69 million new roles emerge, reshaping the choices students must prepare for. Yet, as per a 2025 United Nations study, only 10% of Indian students receive expert career advice or are even aware of it.
Against this backdrop, The Times Career Counselling 2026 multi-city initiative brings a focused, on-ground intervention across key cities, viz., Delhi, Jaipur, Bhopal, Mumbai, Pune, Patna, Lucknow, and Chennai. Built as a weekend format from May 30 till August 15, the event allows students and parents to explore colleges and institutes with clarity on courses, fee structure, placements, and more along with mainstage insights from industry leaders. Students can also get 1-on-1 counselling in private cabins from certified counsellors for a nominal fee. These are not generic seminars or crowded fairs; they are structured conversations tailored to individual profiles, covering course choices and long-term career alignment.

Passes & Registration
What is the difference between the Free Visitor Pass and the Counselling Pass?
The Visitor Pass is absolutely free and grants you access to explore the college exhibition booths and attend mainstage talks. The Counselling Pass (βΉ399) includes everything from the Free Pass but unlocks a guaranteed, private 10-minute 1-on-1 counselling session with a career expert. It also grants you priority queue entry at the venue.
How do the time slots for 1-on-1 counselling work?
During your registration for the premium pass, you select a Preferred Time Slot (10:00 AM to 01:00 PM or 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM).
Important Terms: Allocation of the exact 10-minute session within your block is strictly first-come, first-served. If your preferred time slot becomes fully booked, allocation will close and you will automatically be moved to the next available slot.
Is the βΉ399 payment refundable?
Yes. The booking fee is comprehensively refundable if you withdraw from the session prior to attending. Simply reach out to our desk or support channel.
Can I register only for the 1-on-1 counselling session instead of the event?
No. Registration for the event is mandatory. However, you may decide to skip the main event and only attend your counselling session at the venue.
Event Experience
When will I receive my pass?
Passes will be sent shortly after you complete your registration. Your digital entry pass will be dispatched to your Email address. If you've booked the Counselling Pass, your priority ticket will also be securely delivered via Email & WhatsApp shortly.
Should parents attend with the student?
Absolutely. Career decisions are major family investments. We highly encourage parents to attend the exhibition, mainstage talks, and directly accompany the student inside the 1-on-1 counselling cabins for full transparency.
Refund Policy
Refunds are allowed only if cancellation is made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled counselling slot.
